Had what i thought was an ingrown hair so i tried to pull it out with a needle, nothing there. mild irrational when first .start. 24 hrs skin hard dime sized and red/swollen. 48 hrs hard skin now half dollar sized. hurts when bumped.

Maybe infected now: Messing with bumps like ingrown hairs can lead to infection at the site. Little bumps that have a "small hard ball" inside may also be acne bumps, which means open comedones (blackheads), small acne bumps (closed comedones), or small acne pustules (whiteheads). They could also be molluscum, which are caused by a virus. A doctor can check to see if antibiotics are needed to treat it.
