Corneal edema: Screwdriver injuries cause severe internal damage to the eye. While there are many possibilities in this case, the most likely is damage to the corneal inner lining which causes fluid to seep into the corneal structure and causes a whitish-blue appearance with loss of vision. Your husband should seek out a corneal specialist to get an evaluation.
