A member asked:

Feels like l get a shiver in my thigh. i have a pinched nerve in lower back. low iron levels. what could be causing this feeling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thigh shivers: If these are muscle twitches, localized muscular or superficial nerve irritability is likely. If frequent diffuse muscle twitches or cramps occur, deficiencies of calcium, magnesium and potassium must be ruled out. I don't think it's a symptom of iron deficiency. The pinched low back nerve may be a factor, however. A neurologist could evaluate you for this.
