A member asked:

For adults, are the antibodies that fight bacteria causing strep throats always circulating in blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. John Chiu answered

Depends: Only previous exposure to strep can induce protective antibodies which usually declines over time in a few years. If you have never had any exposure, there will be no antibody present
