Unclear: It is not clear what exactly happened here. Pap smears are typically done in the office and do not usually require sedation. If yours required sedation then that implies some sort of atypical situation was occurring. I would contact the doctor who did your procedure and clarify what was done and why. That might then explain the popping sensation and bleeding that occurred back then.
