Some thoughts...: Having a normal regular period means one is not pregnant. Having sex after the period means one could become newly pregnant on the current month. If worried, one can do a urine pregnancy test the week after missing the next period, or at least 3 weeks after having sex. A doctor can tell if there is an enlarged uterus on exam, and might be able to estimate its size, but can use ultrasound verify.
