A few ideas: Given that bloating only goes away when you have your period, it may be that your intestines are sensitive to progesterone, a female hormone that causes decrease in bowel motility. You might consider going on birth control to see if this helps. If you have other bowel complaints, such as frequent watery stools, or constipation, it may be another condition like ibs. Talk to doctor for evaluation.
