Can an ep study tell you if your arteries are blocked? how safe is the procedure? can you feel it ?

EP is electrical: An ep study is a test of the electrical system of the heart, and is meant to uncover rhythm abnormalities, both slow & fast. Assessment of blocked or open arteries requires a cardiac catheterization (a plumbing test). An ep study is a fairly safe test, with a complication rate of 2-3%. It is uusually done under local anesthesia, and is not painful. Some patients can feel their heart rate change.
