No rules: teenagers are becoming mote sexually active than in other generations. I suggest that all young women speak to a GYN about protection, BC, and STD before having intercourse and I always advise double protection ( condoms PLUS spermicidal foam/gel or inserts. In my private practice I would say 16-20 are about the average ages for becoming sexually active. Education should begin at home.
