It may be: This may vey well be the first signs of a period as young girls are starting periods sooner then a generation ago due to better nutrition.. However, make sure that there wasn't a "play injury" or foreign object inserted in the vagina. A Pediatrician or Pediatric GYN MD can be helpful.
