Pain: A ruptured cyst can indeed be very painful and it may result in spasms depends on where the cyst is located. It is imperative though that any spasmodic back pain is evaluated by your doctor to rule out any other worrying cause

Get checked: Cysts can be rupture and be painful but back spasms can be due to a variety of causes - muscle or disc problem or referred pain from kidneys or pancreas or lungs among others. So safest thing here is to get examined by a doctor licensed in your area. If the cause remains uncertain your doctor can then order tests as required to sort it out. All the best
