Had bacterial meningitis symptoms for days, still recovered- but others die in same amount of time. why is that? i don't understand why i made it

Sure of diagnosis?: Are you sure you had bacterial meningitis? Did you undergo a spinal tap & CSF fluid culture which confirmed the diagnosis? You may have just had a severe ear infection or some other condition with symptoms that mimicked meningitis. If you DID have meningitis, hopefully you were treated with the right antibiotics right away & your immune system was strong enough to recover. Not everyone is so lucky

Odd statement: You say symptoms but that does not mean you had it. Many viral illnesses like mono can have symptoms that overlap with bacterial meningitis but self heal.
