Sure of diagnosis?: Are you sure you had bacterial meningitis? Did you undergo a spinal tap & CSF fluid culture which confirmed the diagnosis? You may have just had a severe ear infection or some other condition with symptoms that mimicked meningitis. If you DID have meningitis, hopefully you were treated with the right antibiotics right away & your immune system was strong enough to recover. Not everyone is so lucky

Odd statement: You say symptoms but that does not mean you had it. Many viral illnesses like mono can have symptoms that overlap with bacterial meningitis but self heal. Those with true bacterial meningitis verified by spinal tap & culture often recover completely with proper treatment. Your story has many assumptions not supported by any detail.
