Heavy menses: My best advice is to have a gynecologist evaluate you. You will benefit from having a pelvic exam, blood testing, and likely an ultrasound to make sure we determined the cause. I do recommend avoiding aspirin or aspiring containing medications while on your period and 1 week before to avoid excess bleeding. If you have to change your pad/tampon every hour on the hour please go to your ER.
