A member asked:

I have had 2 ultrasound scans that show my edd as 9th january and 7th january respectively. it doesn't tally at all with my lmp. a lot of weeks off. about 6-8 weeks?

Accurate estimates: Ultrasound dating scans in the first trimester, such as at 8-11 weeks of pregnancy, are very accurate... meaning plus or minus one week. Especially if the doctor feels the fetus is growing appropriately for gestational age through the course of the pregnancy, the ultrasound dating estimates are likely very good. That means use the ultrasound dating instead of the non-matching LMP dating.
