A member asked:

Do all kids have germs---or is there a particular age group that are more germy- for example, 0-3 years old vs. 3-5 year olds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All kids & adults !!: Everyone at all ages has a coexistence with germs. People acquire a germ profile on their skin and in their upper airways & intestines within hours of birth & this continues through life. Young kids mouthing & touching behavior acquires new germs a bit faster than adults, but studies show adults put their fingers to their face/nose multiple times/waking hour. This brings germs to your body.
