Why does it hurt to swallow tomatoes?

Acidity: If it is only tomatoes causing the problem then it may have to do with acidity and reflux causing inflammation to the food pipe. No other reasonable explanation that I can think of.

Tomatoes: are actually quite ACIDIC and can be irritating for sensitive individuals..check it out you may have other food allergies. Hope this helps Dr Z
