Would get it checked: If this has been the same way since your infection, many times, the amount you can eat decreases if you reduce your intake. That being said, what you describe is early satiety in some ways - feeling full quick and lack of appetite. Some parasitic infections could cause you to not feel hungry. I would have this checked out.
