I have had unbearable pain down my left side from my abdoomin to my calf, sometimes i go numb, but it hirts to touch...also diabetic. what is it?

"Pinched Nerve": Even though diabetics can suffer from neuropathy, it seldom becomes "numb". That concerns me that something else is going on. A 'pinched nerve" from elsewhere, the lumbar spine or abd/pelvis, needs to be ruled out and evaluated. Talk with you doc about the type and distribution of symptoms so an appropriate workup can be ordered.
