Cow milk after 1 yr: Babies should receive breast milk or infant formula until one year of age. Cow's milk is not appropriate for babies under one year of age. Early introduction of cow's milk is associated with iron deficiency anemia. Early exposure to cow's milk proteins also increases the risk of developing allergy to milk proteins.

The cow milk by itself should never be a problem. You should avoid soy based foods or milk or anything related to peanuts. The big issue for these kids is the numerous drugs that can trigger blood breakdown. You should always inform any treating doc of the G6PD issue
