The more you nurse : Your son. The more breast milk you produce. You can also use an electric pump at intervals to increase your milk supply. Alternating breast & bottle feeds can cause nipple confusion. Breastfed babies can't overfeed & have a lower incidence of obesity. However, you can offer 4 oz./bottle, as long he is not spitting up; 5 oz. @ 2 mos., 6 oz. @ 3 mos., etc. Till you get to 8 oz. Later on.
