Can atarax lower anxiety without making you sleepy? are there people who take it and don't get sleepy but have their anxiety lowered?

Yes: People can react differently to medications. But I have seen patients who were less anxious after taking atarax and were not tired. I think I would fall asleep if I took atarax.
