Depends: It depends on which medicine you're talking about. Regardless, however, you certainly do not want to be drinking more than one on a regular basis. Although beer helps, water is better for you. Good luck.

Makes no difference: I think you have some misinformation. A medication to lower cholesterol (e.g. a "statin" drug) is not likely to cause kidney stones. And drinking beer does not reduce the formation of kidney stones or otherwise help them. You (or whoever this is about) should speak with his/her doctor about it.

Advise against: Hi Although alcohol is thought to decrease risk for kidney stones, I would advise against it. There are more thoughtful ways to decrease your risk than consuming alcohol and alcohol comes with its own risks.
