A member asked:

Can bed bugs transmits hiv?

No bedbugs: Bedbugs are not thought to transmit any diseases. They are 'freaky' though - especially if you find them in your hotel bedroom or something like that. HIV is transmitted by sexual activity and injection drug use primarily. There are no known causes of HIV ever being transmitted by an insect...thank goodness.

No,: as nasty as they are, bedbugs are not known to be significant disease vectors, and do not transmit HIV.
