PFTS/CT: You will need to be screened for asthma or hyperreative airway disease with pulmonary function tests and a CT scan. I would also suggest TB testing and a sputum culture.

Specialist: This is when you ask your primary doctor to send you to a specialist, either a pulmonologist or a cardiologist depending on which seems to be more appropriate for your symptoms at the time. Maybe even both. If your symptoms persist, do not delay. Good luck..1
