A member asked:

I have what i think is a wart in the bend on my inside middle finger. had irritation on skin before becoming visible. looks like a blood blister.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bump on finger: Warts are common skin lesions on fingers. However another common lesion that looks like a wart in shape but is red and "blood-blister" looking is a pyogenic granuloma, a small ball of blood vessels that results from minor skin trauma like a pinch or a cut. Pyogenic granulomas tend to bleed easily and need to be removed and the blood vessels at the base cauterized, otherwise they can recur.
