Responsiveness: I certainly would not hesitate to see a specialist like a neurologist for full evaluation. A person who was just "day dreaming" would typically have a memory of the event and be responsive to other people if questioned, a person going through what could be referred to as an "absence" seizure would typically not have a memory of the event and would not be responsive to other people in the room.
