Several--: Psychological intervention frequently helps but drugs that are benzodiazipines can help, along with SSRI inhibitors! Fear of flying affects 20% of the population. Smaller planes and multiple stops can worsen the condition. Larger planes and nonstop flight are easier to tolerate!

Relaxants: Benzodiazepines or other relaxant drugs are sometimes prescribed to temporarily control the symptoms of Aviophobia. However it should be kept in mind that drug treatments do not treat the underlying disorder and may have unwanted side-effects. I suggest relaxation techniques such as meditation and deep breathing.
