A member asked:

Is it normal to have pretty intense diarrhea the day after one's first enema?

Sometimes: Hi If it was 24 hours ago, the effects of the medication should be wearing off. It is common to continue to see some of the effects after the enema is administered, however. If you are physically feeling ok - no chills, fever, etc. I think you'll be ok, just have to wait it out. Hope this helps, feel better soon!

Need more info: What agent was used for enema? Was it one of the quack detox enemas? Following a usual soap water enema or salt enema, you should not have diarrhea, let alone intense diarrhea. Keep you fluid intake high to prevent dehydration and if the diarrhea does not subside in a day or so, see your doctor or go to an emergency room at a nearby hospital.
