A member asked:

Can a stool test reveal what particular type of pseudamonas a child has if stool test shows positive for pseudamonas growth, but child is asymptomatic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The lab can do some refined testing to determine the strain. Pseudomonas is an occasional finding in a normal kids stool. It is not particularly worrisome.
