Depends: Allergic reactions can cause skin hyperpigmentation. Depending on what caused the reaction (contact allergy or hives or irritant reaction or drug rash), the hyperpigmentation may or may not resolve. Hyperpigmetation can fade over time if there is no repetitive skin irritation. Scabbing and oozing can be signs of infection, kindly have the rash evaluated if it doesn't resolve.
