Abominal obesity: The omentum is a fold of tissue inside the abdomen, over the intestines and other organs. It accumulates fat in overweight people. That it's in your omentum isn't important. However, abdominal obesity is the most risky kind in predicting health problems like diabetes and coronary disease. Losing abdominal fat is hard, but it's basically the same as anywhere else: sensible diet, exercise.
