Pill esophagitis. : Sounds like you had an episode of pill esophagitis, wherein the stuck pill causes intense inflammation and muscular spasm. Usually self-limited. In the future, drink about 8 ounces of fluids, with your pills. For now, if you find yourself having any trouble swallowing, see a doctor.
