Sebaceous cyst: Sebaceous cysts on the scalp can present like pea-sized lumps. These are harmless, but if causing problems can be removed with a simple in-office procedure. A cyst may be your doctors' best guess, but the only way to know for sure is to have it removed and analyzed by a pathologist.

OK?: If it is a sebaceous cyst, those are usually left alone unless they become infected or irritated. If want removed, can be done as a local in-office incision/excision by some family practice dr's, or dermatologist, or surgeon.
