A member asked:

Had large local reaction to vaccine. swelling and redness has come down, but there is still a bit of a red area that feels slightly warm. normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Common: Inject a foreign material into the muscle & it should have a response. Transient swelling & redness is expected, the warmth is dilated capillaries that are part of the reaction. This all usually fades within 48-72 hrs.
