A member asked:

My son who is 21 has high blood pressure in his right arm 160/90 his left arm pressure is normal at 130/70 why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood pressure : When there is a difference in pressure between the two arms, there is usually obstruction to flow in the one with the lower measured pressure. The obstruction may be in the aortic arch or subclavian or in the limb itself. It is worth having your son checked for cause.
