HPV Strain 45 ?: HPV 16, 18 and 45 account for 90 % of strains that cause cervical cancers Other strains that are considered less risky for cervical cancer development are 31,33.34,35, 52 & 58! So best get pap test yearly and follow up with OBGYN for high risk results and further treatments !

Not necessarily: Woman have been getting pap smears for decades before we knew the link to HPV.Now we understand that some strains are more likely to produce cervical cancer than others.It may show up in years/decades or NEVER after the primary infection.Use this information as motivation to go in on time for your followups.Early detection of precancerous changes can allow removal before it converts to cancer
