No: Question one: why are you taking Valium 20 mg per dose in first place. Maximum recommended dose is 10 mg three times a day. Two: why are you on trazadone: insomnia, depression,,,? You need to reconsider your treatment for insomnia. Please your family doctor or a sleep center. At 56 yo, that dosing of those meds, you may have a permanent rest. Stop and see your doctor now!

This is indeed risky and potentially life threatening, and is frowned upon by the Calif. Board of Medical Examiners. Stop both, get a second opinion regarding sleep hygiene, consider overnight sleep study. The escalation of medications is only going to worsen insomnia, and create further medication tolerance challenges.
