Is menstrual blood on a condom a risk for hiv? the blood covered 3/4's of the condom. there was only an attempt for penetration, nothing more.

Probably not.: Condoms offer excellent protection against HIV when properly used. If menstrual blood was on the condom and not on your skin, then the condom did its job.

No risk, no worry: Blood on the outside of a condom carries no risk for HIV. Sex during menstruation is no more risky than sex at any other time: in infected women, normal vaginal fluids have just as much HIV as blood does. In any case, the chance any particular female in the US has HIV is very low, including sex workers.
