Air in IV line: Not to worry. Small amount of air in IV line is not dangerous, even the whole tube filled with air would be insignificant as the blood would absorb the air as the venous blood is passively returned to the system. Air in arterial lines can be dangerous even in small amounts since i is under pressure and could cause an air embolus.
