Antibiotic diarrhea: Like many antibiotics, azithromycin can cause diarrhea. Usually it's no big deal. Perhaps the blood is from anal irritation or a hemorrhoid. But if you're not sure, i.e. if the blood is mixed with stool, it could be a more serious kind of diarrhea. Best to see a doctor for this; you could start with whoever prescribed the azithromycin.
