A member asked:

I am experiencing ringing in ears and hearing loss (side: one side only) . after sleeping with my ear rested on a pillow.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tinnitus: The combination of recent tinnitus and hearing loss in one ear, with or without vertigo symptoms, calls for an evaluation by a neurologist or otolaryngologist as one cause is a brain tumor called acoustic neuroma. A brain ct scan or mri is usually part of the evaluation. If no neuroma is suspected or found, you will still get expert advice regarding your symptoms.
