A few clues: Vaginal yeast infections usually doesn't cause discharge, or only a little. The main symptoms are irritation, itching and redness. Odor can be a clue -- strong or fishy odor suggests bacterial vaginosis or trichomonas. Color (yellow etc) usually means infection. But it can be very difficult to tell the cause of increased vaginal discharge; profoessional examination is necessary. Good luck with it.
