You need testing: UTI can be caused by few bacterias. Urine testing usually detect what type and what antibiotics best for it. This test is not routinely done for every patient with UTI, and it that is the case with you I would suggest to have the urine tested first before treatment. Also Thrush can be caused by oral Antibiotics and you might need to be checked to make sure that it is cleared with treatment now.

You should follow up: with the health care provider/doctor who treated you initially. You should be examined, as it could be a problem with your vaginal area, not your bladder. You also need a repeat urine sample to make sure you have been treated with an antibiotic that will work for the particular bacteria you have.
