Polymyalgia : Polymylagia rheumatica is a common disorder that can cause bilateral upper extremity weakness (difficulty combing your hair) and shoulder aching. Many other conditions could also cause these symptoms. Since you have already had some sophisticated testing, a second opinion consultant would want to review those records. Would you expect a small cell lung cancer that was causing fatigue and muscle loss to be picked up on a low dose CT scan.
