Dysosmia: An upper respiratory infection can cause temporary changes in smell or abnormal smells. If there are other nasal symptoms like discharge, sinus congestion and pressure, there may be an infection going on that needs treatment. If this is a short-term problem, you may not need to do anything and give it a little more time to improve. If you are very concerned, see an ENT.
