A member asked:

I have sibo and was prescribed flagyl and bactrim for it. i have a bad history of taking antibiotics and would like other choices.

Get second opinion: Most physicians consider SIBO to usually be a fringe-medicine diagnosis and I would hate to see you get sick from antibiotics given to treat something that isn't even the real explanation for your symptoms. If a second gastroenterologist agrees you have SIBO, I'll ask you to comply with their regimen. But be discerning. Good luck.
