Too long: You may get peristalsis cramps for a few hours but after you evacuate it should be relieved. If you have not had the desired effect the cramps would last longer and taking both agents will make it worse but 8 hours may bee too long. There are complications of laxatives so depending on your symptoms you may need to see a doctor.
