VERY UNLIKELY: EVERY system has a safeguard consisting of a RECORDING of EVERYONE who accesses data.. This is a MAJOR DETERRENT to those who would "explore" data they are NOT entitled to! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Probably very low: Your concern is understandable. However, most medical practices and groups take personal health privacy very seriously and train their employees about it. Under federal law (HIPAA, which you can google for details), the penalties for non-compliance are very severe, usually $5,000 fine. Complaints or claims about breeches of confidentiality are rare.
