A member asked:

No! Alcohol prep: pads are single use. Phlebotomists use new gloves with each blood draw. Since the blood is being taken from you, the theoretical risk is to the person drawing the blood,. However, not using gloves and alcohol to prep the area could lead to skin infection at the site of the puncture wound. I'm not sure how the "vaginal fluids" relate to your question. Dr. Anne

Counseling needed: You have posted several questions about such fears. HIV cannot be transmitted via swabs, nurses' gloves, etc. Apparently you are irrationally concerned about contagion and contamination, often a sign of serious mental health disability. (See "The Aviator" movie for good example of how bad this can get.) Please seek counseling, which I suggest from compassion, not criticism. This forum can't help.
