Testing: There are blood tests to screen for the disease, but they are not yet considered accurate enough to make a diagnosis. A small bowel biopsy is the definitive diagnosis. Visit celaiac disease foundation celiac.Org.

Food sensitivity lab: In addition to traditional diagnostic procedures you can also get a food sensitivity test. You may not have full blown celiac but you can certainly be sensitive gluten and other foods and a lab such as great plains lab (no connection) has an easy finger stick dry blood spot scientific test. Peace and good health.

A biopsy: There are blood tests that provide some evidence, but they are not totally reliable. A small bowel biopsy is the only absolute diagnostic test. Visit celiac.Org (celiac disease foundation).

Symptoms: Celiac disease is a problem where patients get chronic diarrhea and sometimes a serious skin rash called pyoderma gangrenosum caused by your body making an IgG antibody to a wheat protein that also attacks your small intestine. This results in malabsorption which causes diarrhea. It usually gets better by removing wheat from your diet. Your doctor can do tests to see if this is the problem.
